Everywhere there was fairly clean. The hotel was spectacular and in a very central location.

Brilliant location, next to Great Rigg. And very close to the restaurant, the public bistro and the centre. Stunning spotless rooms with newly refurbished bathroom as well as direct garden access, welcoming staff. Splendid food at breakfast served in the lounge area.

Lovely location in the middle of Grasmere. Nice quiet hotel with great staff.
Unfortunately I think the maid used a strange cleaner in the bathroom, as there was a sickening, rather overpowering smell coming from it. if the door was left open for any length of time, the smell would fill the room, inducing a headache.

The beds were exceptionally comfortable. the room was spotless with a view onto the village. - It had a marvellous and brilliant location - an easy walk to Heaton Cooper Studio Art Gallery. I loved how cozy and clean the room was, the beds were like sleeping on a cloud, and the view overlooking the village was beautiful. Plus, the hotel's location was fantastic, making it easy to walk to the Heaton Cooper Studio Art Gallery.

We just got back from our long weekend Easter vacation 3-night stay at the Wordsworth Spa hotel. We originally booked a room for 2 nights then we decided to stay for one more night simply because my husband love the hotel and restaurant, also the lovely surrounding. We’d say food was the catch – extraordinary cuisine with mouth-watering desserts! We’d recommend this beautiful hotel but keep in mind it’s not the cheapest hotel but the best location in Grasmere
On our arrival, we were offered a selection of newspapers and then we found on our bill £3.50 for 3 newspapers! We think newspapers should be complimentary and not charged, as this is the normal practice in any 4* or 5* hotels worldwide. Also the SPA facilities were not available due to a personal bereavement, it would have been better if there was a replacement or other arrangement because we purposely booked the hotel to enjoy a SPA treatment! Not very convinced!

The location is excellent, with beautiful gardens and local attractions nearby, the room is clean, bright, and the bed is very comfortable. Rewritten: the location here is amazing, with lovely gardens and nearby attractions, the room is sparkling clean and bright, and the bed is super cozy, making me want to return in the future.

The Wordsworth Hotel in Grasmere offers a pleasant and reasonably spacious stay. the hotel boasts a great pool and picturesque rear views. Situated in a gorgeous location next to the main restaurant and public bistro, it's also just a short walk to Cocoa Hearts. Guests can enjoy the convenience of having a signature restaurant for both dinner and breakfast.

The location is excellent, and staff most willing. The public rooms are lovely and the spa looks really inviting.
The attention to detail was lacking. Hotel television did not recieve BBC1 and initially we were checked into a room that had a problem with an unpleasant odour. The restuarant food was very pretty however I felt it was slightly overpriced and underdelivered on quality.( The thrice fried chips were clearly steamed)
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
